Hello there from Rossija

i've got a question of roms

you know there are few roms of OoT and MM, that are dumped from GameCube version and these are verified and very nice

so why don't you put these roms in your dat and are there any other roms like Zelda 64? (verified [!], but not in no-intro)
p.s. many thanks for your job!

There were in, but removed a while back, likely for being rips instead of dumps, but I can't give the exact reason.

I think all extracted roms were removed from all dats: GC, MAME, PSX, etc...
Every rom is the property of its own system and it makes no sense to duplicate them across all systems and preserve them several times. redumps.org which is the best ISO preservation project already preserves the Zelda GC version.

However, at least in case of "OoT: Master Quest", this version is different/a modification from/of the original game on N64.

i got curious about it just because...eh...
you know - Ocarina of Time (Debug Edition). The ingame buttons are designed for GC -> red instead of blue! that's why i thought that it is also for GC and.. it is in No-Intro)
but when you push the button there appears a little square - and the color of this dot is the same as buttons on N64 controller... so it is something between 64 and GC?

OOT MQ was actually a 64DD attachment that modified the original cart to allow for a more difficult game play. The ROM that shows up on the GC disc was simply the ROM and the 64DD cart merged.
===============================================Ura Zelda (which roughly translates as "Another Zelda") was announced as a Nintendo 64DD expansion disk for use in conjunction with Ocarina of Time. It was designed so that the original Ocarina of Time cartridge would be plugged into the main Nintendo 64 console while the Ura Zelda expansion disk would be plugged into the N64DD that sat underneath the console. Upon the insertion of the Ura Zelda expansion disk the N64DD disk would act as a patch to Ocarina of Time. The title screen would change slightly, adding a Triforce icon and "Ura Zelda" on the bottom of the logo indicating that Ura Zelda was now loaded. The size of this patch was supposedly about 32–64 megabytes, and due to the smaller maximum size of Nintendo 64 cartridges, the game could not otherwise be released on a cartridge.

Could someone enlighten this a bit, please? The "Master Quest" ROM is 32 MB just like the original ROM. So Nintendo could have released it on a cartridge, couldn't they? The size of this patch was supposedly about 32–64 megabytes, and due to the smaller maximum size of Nintendo 64 cartridges, the game could not otherwise be released on a cartridge.

Hey, I just read Wikipedia.
It's possible that it was intended to be like the original Zelda - two quests. And potentially due to the size of having both quests in there, it would have been likely 64Mbit.
(I think the article is all wrong. N64's limit is 64Mbit, not MByte, right?)

Don't get me wrong, Master Quest is a great game and I beat it on Project64, I still have a copy in my "quality hacks" directory. I don't feel too depressed about it not being in the No-Intro pure dat for the N64, I find this logical.
Resident Evil 2 is 64 MBytes, if I remember correcty, Nintendo used a new component at some point to increase the initial maximum capacity.Hey, I just read Wikipedia.

And "Blade Arts" is right, there were a few N64 games of 512 Mbit like "Resident Evil 2", "Pokemon Stadium 2", "Conker's Bad Fur Day" and "Paper Mario".
However, maybe the required "compression algorithm" (or whatever it is called correctly) wasn't yet developed at the time Nintendo had finished "Master Quest"?
Okay but I think this case is still a little bit "difficult" as we now know that the game was originally intended to be released on N64.It's still a GC game, and having it ripped for N64 is just duping it.

The only tiny concern I have is that "newbies" who don't know that "Master Quest" was once in the dat, may overlook this game...Don't get me wrong, Master Quest is a great game and I beat it on Project64, I still have a copy in my "quality hacks" directory. You're reading my statement wrong. The original Zelda ("The Legend of Zelda") consisted of two quests. The first you got by playing normally, the 2nd was found by entering the name "ZELDA" at the name selection screen, which by doing so used the same engine and core of the game, but rearranged the levels, puzzles, and all that stuff.

Well, it was ported to the GBA as part of the NES Classics series (along with Zelda II: The Adventures of Link).
And SNES? n00b.
