Hi
Happy new year
Recently, It came to my attention that
my copy of the Porky Pigs Haunted Holiday ROM company info: Sunsoft?? (I know there is another version by Acclaim (1995), and Y~K dumped it)
Is this a Beta ver. of some sort? different country region? or just another company doing the same game?
This has plagued me since this Sunsoft version (1994) was previously dumped as SF***.058 rom for the SF Game Doctor CD-Rom. Note: this game was labelled as Beta version according to the Bungs SF Game Doctor Goldfinger list.
Could anyone please shed some light on this, many thanks for any help/info, I really appreciate it

Note that PORKY PIGS HAUNTED internal serial is APPE, while the cartridge serial is SNS-KX-USA. This is because the internal serial doesn't match the cart label serial, but rather the ROM chip serial which is SNS-P-APPE-0 in this case.

All I can tell is the version by Akklaim is the majesco retail cart (I have its box). The dat marks the "sunsoft version" as beta, but it's unverifed. Both Akklain and Sunsoft logos appear on the majesco retail cart & box. Attached cart scan.Hi

As you see, the serial is different from the one of the cart I dumped. It might be the Sunsoft version.
Could someone in the USA hunt and dump that cart?
There is two ways to identify it against the majesco re-release:
1. the cart serial is APPE
2. it has a grey sticker on the back

Why trying to get the APPE version again? It looks like coolnation has this version, or not?
Also, didn't Majesco re-release a bunch of games? I guess one dump is the original version and the other dump the re-release version.

I have several Majesco re-releases and none had a different serial from the original. So I suspect the alternate serial might be a different ROM than the one I dumped. No matter how it turns out, it will be interesting to have a trusted dump from the other cart.
As for coolnation, he isn't a trusted dumper (yet?) and his post is extremely unclear and confusing. We'd better rely on a trusted dumper, we have a lot of them in the USA.

Seems like Majesco screwed up big time.
