Dumping Guides
Hi, if you're curious about getting started dumping with No-Intro, here are some Dumping Guides: http://wiki.no-intro.org/index.php?title=Dumping_Guides
Many are still a work in progress, so if you're an old pro please lend a hand by filling in some of these.

Re: Dumping Guides
Please do, whichever one's you're particularly good at please go for it.
Also as far as the miss lists are concerned, maybe a link can be made at the bottom of them to No-Intro's "Bad Dumps" for the systems? Not sure how to even get this display.

Put the download for gameheader also in it.
you can made the crc32 , sha1 and md5 with gameheader at once, or the program hasher.

Re: Dumping Guides
For digital 3DS games (installed already):
Open Godmode9
hover over A: SYSNAND SD (SD Card installed titles)
Press R+A, then choose "search for titles"
Choose a title, go to TMD File Options... and then "Build CIA (Standard)." "Build CIA (legit)" will only apply to pre-installed games, which use a universal console ticket and not user/console specific like every other game you buy on the eShop.
Looking at DoM it seems we're still skirting around using .cia files for the DLC category (which also seems to include entire games, many of which are converted to .3ds format which presumably originated as .cia / cdn files eg 0578, 0579, 0580, 0566, 0531 and many more), and now would be a time to decide how to proceed. Scene groups made these .3ds files to be compatible with Gateway and Sky3DS (I'm sure you're aware of this).
DLC/Updates are caught with this as well, those have title IDs beginning with 0004008C and 0004000E Respectively. The titles shown will be the same as the game.
On your physical dump guide, you will need to use a tool to clean card2 titles (not many afaik, pokemon X/Y included for that, I think some of the cart readers can look at what type it is but that's not my wheelhouse). Also, CFW installed on a 3DS is NOT required, just convenient. You can use any flash cart with NTRBoot installed and load directly to godmode9 if all you want to do is dump titles (NTRBoot just points to boot.firm, so if you have godmode9 on the root of your SD as boot.firm you can do the magnet boot direct to gm9).

Starter for Wii U Dumping: http://compat.cemu.info/wiki/Getting_St ... tal_copies / https://gbatemp.net/threads/ddd-wiiu-ti ... er.418492/ - I believe DDD only dumps decrypted folders and not the encrypted files people are looking for here so this might not be what you're looking for, I think the only way you're going to get a good encrypted dump is from NUS but don't take my word for it. wudump will let you dump disc images, but I imagine that that's closer to redump.org's interests.

Switch has an XCI Dumping script public you can run if you have access to pegaswitch (3.0.0 and very recently 4.1.0 only),
You can read this on how to set up pegaswitch: https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-se ... ew.489299/
XCI Dumper is available here: https://gist.github.com/AcK77/56b86469f ... 2cb962ee30
This only applies to switch carts, currently there's no good way to dump digital (and nintendo is b&ing people from pulling from NUS this time around). As the public CFWs come closer there will presumably be more (and easier) tools for this.

For the GBA Link Cable Dumper, I really recommend against this one (super slow) but can be done with both GC and Wii.
First, you need to get the GBA Link Cable Dumper.
Take the appropriate .dol for either gamecube or wii and load it up with Swiss/Wii HBL. Leave a controller in port 1, and plug in the GBA with the GBA Link Cable in port 2 WITHOUT a game in. Turn it on, and wait for the dumper to be sent.
You should see a screen appear telling you to look at the TV on the game boy, at this point you can insert your cartridge. Press A on the gamecube controller, then A again to dump the game. This will be placed in a folder on your SD Card.
Loading Swiss/HBL themselves seems a little out of scope for this but for the sake of completion you might want to do that, and with GCN it's not too big of a hurdle but the wii setup is a little long.
(GBI also recently added support but I've not looked into it yet)

Re: Dumping Guides
I'd argue that decrypting NCAs from the SD Card is the way to go for installed titles, since they're the same as the CDN copies in all of the instances I've seen.hking0036 wrote: ↑31 May 2018 00:00 Switch has an XCI Dumping script public you can run if you have access to pegaswitch (3.0.0 and very recently 4.1.0 only),

Requires removing the SD Card encryption, of course. Thanksfully it's just double encrypted.
Original NCA > Title Key encryption (which is the "original" version) > SD Card encrypted
How to get the SD Seed is something I'll get into later...
Then compare the SHA256 of the newly SD-Decrypted file to the folder name, and you're golden!
... I'll probably write that into Hiccup's wiki later.

I've been hearing about .nsp packages recently, my understanding is that it's akin to the .cia format from the 3ds and I know that the only BBB eshop dump out there is in that format, what do you think about it? Less complete or just less info on it atm?
Also, @hiccup hoping you don't mind but I went ahead and threw a bunch of stuff up. GBI got a dumper last year and I totally missed it so I figured it out real quick with the other stuff. Also filled in some more details on 3ds cart dumping.

The NSP format/file eludes my knowledge still, sorry. Great luck to y'all, though!

Thanks for adding the stuff to the wiki hking. Btw, have you managed to get that switch cart dumper working?

No problem. Unfortunately I'm a splatoon addict to I've been keeping my switch (Close to) up to date so I've been missing the pegaswitch stuff. The rcm stuff I've been following pretty closely though.

Re: Dumping Guides
Someone just dropped a cart dumper for .xci's (works w/ hbl), doesn't work on new games w/ icon partition but works on all others
https://gbatemp.net/attachments/waincar ... ip.130754/
need to get a jig working now, but I've been struggling with them.

Which games use the icon partition? Have any of them been scene dumped?

Re: Dumping Guides
Legend of Kay, Happy Birthdays, and The Snack World: Trejarer's Gold are the ones that immediately come to mind for me, all BBB dumped.

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2871&p=19171#p19171 is a Switch Cart dumping guide that I wrote.
If anyone has more information or any advice on how to change that, please do lemme know!
