Noob Code Question

I know most are self explanatory but is there a list/faq/glossary that covers all the codes used across the No-Intro sets ?

I'm trying to create some custom lists that filters based on the codes used ie (proto) (beta) (arcade) (sample) etc but cant find a definite list with definitions.
