I've seen that Commodore Amiga 500 multi disk games have different naming schemes. Basically, each game scheme follows what can be seen written on the disk. In certain cases the first disk is called "Disk A", in others it's "Disk 0" or "Disk 1".
Short question here, is there any plan to standarize disk numbering?
I know this standarization is not very reliable since several games have special names for disk like "game disk", "editor disk" wich are called by their names during game execution. Anyway, something like "Disk 0 - game disk", "Disk 1 - editor disk" will be handy for emulation purposes.

Re: Commodore Amiga 500 multi disk naming scheme
It could be difficult to do naming accurately. I'm taking these as an example (even if they are DOS games). World Circuit: The Grand Prix Simulation's Disk is labelled Disk A, Disk B & Disk C, where as IndyCar Racing's Disk is labelled Disk 1 of 3, 2 of 3 and 3 of 3

Re: Commodore Amiga 500 multi disk naming scheme
I would have liked all accurate 'per disk label' naming for the Amiga, but disk scans became impossible to find to check against. Most naming became cleaned up versions used in the SPS dat that were supplied by the dumper.
I consider it an important part of preservation, on par with how MAME use ROM chip labels/board locations. It shouldn't be treated any less accurate than the game title naming being based on boxes.
Just my 2c
