Hi all,
So my goodmerging on the No-Intro N64 set chugs right along until it gets to Pokemon Snap and bombs out with the following:
Pokemon Snap
Decompressing… Done.

I have all of the roms verified with the latest No-Intro .dat, created the have list with clrmame, added the new settings and languages files, and have tried a couple different versions of 7za.exe. Any ideas?

Re: Error on Pokemon Snap when Goodmerging No-Intro N64
I just tried doing the GBA set and it bombs out on a game after about 10 minutes as well. The things that I noticed with the GBA game the Pokemon is that they both have 9 or more clones. Is there some kind of compression issue when a game has too many clones?

Please try passing the commands to the GUI version (installed 7z.exe). IIRC you can't use more than 128 MB dictionary with command line version (neither with windows 32-bit).
Limitation appears for certain large families bacause it's when specified full dictionary size is actually used.

Re: Error on Pokemon Snap when Goodmerging No-Intro N64
I pointed it to 7z.exe and now I get the following:
Chameleon Twist
Decompressing… Done.
Error: No ROMs found matching "Chameleon Twist (Europe).*"
It looks like it can't find the roms after extracting them. However, you are right on point with the dictionary size. I put it down to 128MB and now it works. I can live with the slightly less compression ratio. Thanks!

I'm not sure what's the new problem. A quick workaround would be to start from already uncompressed set (be sure to test with the family giving the error before uncompressing the whole set).

had the same issue, fix is super easy - install 7zip x64, then go to the 7zip directory (program files not program files x86) and rename 7z.exe to 7za.exe. Now in goodmerge point to 7za.exe. PROBLEM SOLVED:)talbin wrote:I pointed it to 7z.exe and now I get the following:
