The "Donkey Kong Country 2" rom, extracted from PAL Wii Virtual Console, is matched to "Donkey Kong Country 2 - Diddy's Kong Quest (Europe) (En,Fr) (Rev A)" on the dat.
It's very great, what we preserved from retail cardridges matched nintendo official data.

SPADNP1.548 matched.
JBDP.rom is modified, maybe musics are relinked to JBDP.PCM.

So this could mean one of two things
One) Dumper units create accurate 1:1 dumps of snes roms
Two) Nintendo used a dumper unit or google to get the snes roms on VC

NES remakes for the gamecube use iNES headers. It's pretty obvious Nintendo steals scene material.

How did you extract the roms? I have bought a bunch of VC games but never copied them over to an SD card and see what format they were in.

Have any of the NES ROMs been extracted? I'm kinda interested in seeing if their are any changes to the version of SMB2 Lost Levels that was on VC.

how to make sdkey.bin and sdiv.bin (a Wii iso is needed):

After decryption, you can extract the roms with hexeditor, or extraction tool http://neosource.1emu.net/forums/index. ... 19.msg7582 current one supports only DK2).
EDIT: the tool seems to be able to decrypt only savedata, not VC. -_-

I assume that once decrypted, there is no way to use the unlocked game on the actual Wii correct?

Still, it's amazing that it matched with what no-intro considers a pure ROM. It also is a step in the right direction for being able to play your SNES ROMs on the Wii VC.
I bought the DKC2 Virtual Console game for my Wii because I loved it so much.
