I believe xuom2 is away until the 5th and so I thought it would be nice for us to keep track of the new release CRCs and names to make it easier to complete the new dats upon his arrival.

Awwwwwwe, ain't that sweet.... 8-)

2557 - 3 Games in 1 - Rec Room Challenge - Rec Room Darts + Shuffle Bowl + Roll-a-Ball (U) AAFC9AFA <<< Based on title screen.
(2331 - 3 Games in 1 - Darts + Roll-a-Ball + Shuffle Bowl) There are a few ways to name this depending on box or title. Majesco's is also part of the box title. Note that Rec Room Darts is used in the title screen.

2558 - Rebelstar - Tactical Command (E) (M5) E448C5D4

2559 - Juka and the Monophonic Menace (U) (M3) 0C04A2F9

...Please add as and when you find them. :)

I compiled new Game Boy Advance dats (pure and numbered for CM and RC) with the newest dumps. Enjoy! :P

Changed:

2556 - Need for Speed Carbon - Own the City (U) (M5)

Added:

2557 - 3 Games in 1 - Darts + Roll-a-Ball + Shuffle Bowl (U) aafc9afa
2558 - Rebelstar - Tactical Command (E) (M5) e448c5d4
2559 - Juka and the Monophonic Menace (U) (M3) 0c04a2f9
2560 - Scurge - Hive (U) (M3) ef18c510

---

@ Connie:

Concerning "3 Games in 1 - Rec Room Challenge (U)", the (E) version doesn't have "Rec Room Challenge" in its name in the dat, so my dat doesn't have it either for the (U) version.

If xuom2 decides to add your proposal he has to change the (E) version as well as "3 Games in 1 - Paintball Splat! + Dodgeball - Dodge This! + Big Alley Bowling (U)/(E)", because they currently don't have the "Sports Pack" extension in their name.

Is this considered an "official" dat release or what is it?

I don't think there will be any new official DAT releases until xuom2 returns. Which, unless I miss my guess, is pretty much the whole reason behind starting this thread; making it easier for him to update the official DAT when he does return.

The dat I released yesterday is of course in no way "official", it's just for those who can't wait to have the newest available. Like Connie already said, we're just helping out and taking track of the new dumps until xuom2 returns.

If you don't trust my changes you can simply ignore my dat or use a tool like "Windiff" to compare the previous "official" dat and mine to see what I have changed.

I didn't post 2560 - Scurge - Hive (U) (M3) because that EF18C510 version is trained. 80A1E234 is the cleaned version but will have to be marked as it won't run.

Maybe CharlieF can help us out as the clean dump is reported to have CRC 1AE38AC0 ;)

So I think we must wait for a redump to have 2560 as clean as it should be...

Removing the trainer with GBATA won't work, that's for sure. The trainer doesn't seem to be located only at offset 00F9CE84 (that's what the first three bytes of the header imply), but additional code seems to be located just before the actual trainer starting at offset 00F9CC68.

That's how it looks like with the trainer:

Code: Select all

Removing the additonal code at offset 00F9CC68 doesn't work either, so there must be something wrong somewhere else in the rom. We definitely need a redump! :?

Yeah. I had a quick poke around myself and couldn't figure it out. Hopefully CharlieF can help us. :o

Actually I do trust yours although I'm interested to know if you simply took the last official dat and made mods or if this is your own homegrown dat?

I just took the last official dat by xuom2 and added the latest changes. Making a whole new dat would be too costly. I'm a laaaaazy guy, you know...

I would suggest a name change at this point. Tell me what you think about it:

Tomb Raider - Legend (E) (M5)
-> Lara Croft - Tomb Raider Legend (E) (M5) ???

The previous game, Tomb Raider - The Prophecy, had "Lara Croft" in its box art / title screen as well, but the rom's name in the dat has not. So, if we decide to add it to the latest game, we also have to add it to its forerunner.

Also added "Lara Croft" to other titles... let's wait till xuom2 arrives and decides wether or not to leave it like that.

Added:

2563 - Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam (U) 37b0b53d

Again: These dats are just for those who can't wait for the official ones!!! Use them at your own risk. Don't blame me for anything!
