Hi to everybody, long time without posting here.

Just two news:
  • The project is alive.
  • Maybe we are moving to a new "business" model because the project is not visible enough and people who steal our work or share it without any kind of acknowledgement to the official project website is getting more support than us. Image packs are really big, so we need support for bandwidth costs, pay per time subscription for direct downloads seems the best solution for me (this is not an "official" comunication, just my opinion). Of course this subscription must be free to big collaborators or projects like yours.
And now a personal note, I've been working in a personal project to recreate virtual boxes for front-ends or media centers.

I've already done 845 megadrive/genesis covers (~480 MB) and 155 snes covers (~60MB).

Regards.

I can take screenshots of most of the 3DS games I own with HANS. Is this wanted?

Hi,

As far as I have managed to find, the lastest SNES release No-Intro 20061119 Super Nintendo Entertainment System Screenshots.7z is like 6 years old now. I have noticed as well there are 99 screenshots missing, which is little and which makes sense. There have been re-releases, new dumps and so on from back then. So I have begun to take in-game snaps that I intend to release eventually so as to have the definitive snes snaps collection. I think it would make sense to merge them with the massive work already arranged by hellboy_666 (and others).

If anyone is interested in taking SNES snaps as well, be it welcome.

Regards,

What I can do is to host the packs and link the pictures to the database: in this way we will always know what is missing.
No problems with the development part, but I have no time at the moment to take snapshots.
A set of rules would be good.
For example, when I took (tons) of NDS shots, I followed certain rules:
- if a text (like "press start") is blinking in the tile screen, it should be captured when it's shown
- non-english text in picture should be shown using language ordering (a game Fr-Es should have french text shown)
- ingame snap has to be real ingame (no tutorial, no intro, no dialogues, no cutscenes)
- ingame snaps of region-clones (if language doesn't change) should be identical (just copy-paste same picture file)
etc
