Re: NES dat/roms/header problem.
I've recently updated to latest NES DAT using 3.131. I can confirm that at least the "Scanner" part works. I will try the "Rebuilder" asap.
EDIT: "Rebuilder" in 3.131 works as expected too.
If you still have problems, be sure that you copy the No-Intro NES header to CMPro "headers" subfolder before starting CMPro. Other than that, if you've never used the No-Intro DAT for NES before for auditing your collection, then some of your ROMs could not match the expected ones.

Are your files headerless?kazumi213 wrote:I've recently updated to latest NES DAT using 3.131. I can confirm that at least the "Scanner" part works. I will try the "Rebuilder" asap.

I've only used No-Intro's DAT with these files, and always with the header-xml. The only thing changing is CMPro, which worked up to 3.127.kazumi213 wrote:If you still have problems, be sure that you copy the No-Intro NES header to CMPro "headers" subfolder before starting CMPro. Upon scanning, it (3.131) throws an error, that the CRC in the archive header doesn't match the CRC calculated from the file itself.
Code: Select all
Archive Header CRC32 doesn't match CRC32 of decompressed data for file:
Maybe I really should get my lazy bum up and strip all headers where possible.
Re: NES dat/roms/header problem.
Kazumi213 i believe that you don't have crc errors why you have "descompres rom & check crc32/sha1/md5" disable in "hash & chd setting" in scanner window, try check again with this options enable and you'll see the error if you files have header only .kazumi213 wrote:I've recently updated to latest NES DAT using 3.131. I'm agree with Elbart the problem is with clrmame to descompress rom for check crc.

Re: NES dat/roms/header problem.
My ROMs have header.
Yes I see, when enabling "real" crc32+md5+sha1 check on uncompressed files, CMPro Scanner fails. However I've never used these options before (I rebuild for MD5/SHA1 checks instead), so I don't know whether this worked before on Scanner + DATs using header
This is a CMPro issue. I can only suggest you both to use Rebuilder for MD5/SHA1 checks on 3.131, or keep using 3.127 for Scanner real checks (if it was working). Futher issues on this, please report on CMPro forum.

...or use cmpro 3.131a which fixes the issue. I will release it tonight...however you should have reported the issue at the cmpro messageboard...I found it here purely accidently and fixed it directly...

Re: NES dat/roms/header problem.
I'm kinda new to No-Intro and Clrmamepro (I'm using version 3.131b) anyway I have so far been able to verify all my sets except
- Atari - Lynx (2009-08-17 07:36:37)
- Nintendo - Famicom Disk System (2009-10-04 00:53:16)
- Nintendo - Nintendo Entertainment System (2009-11-10 11:17:00)
When I load them up I get the following errors
I know that's what this topic is about but how do I fix this issue and scan my files to ensure I have the correct roms?

Re: NES dat/roms/header problem.
You have to download the header-files (next to the dats) in the dat-o-matic.
Enabel them as well in clrmamepro.

Thank you, that worked!
