Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but I'm at a loose end with this one. I've downloaded the Famicom Disk System dat and on importing it in clrmamepro it's asking for no-intro_fds.xml for the headers. I can't for the life of me find this anywhere. There's barely any mention of "no-intro_fds.xml" on the Internet, as far as I can see.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Re: Famicom Disk System headers
1. You can find that XML file in the download section of DOM when you start the custom download process for the Famicom Disk System DAT (https://datomatic.no-intro.org/index.ph ... p=dat&s=31). There's a link at the bottom called "Get header" (https://datomatic.no-intro.org/stuff/header_fds.zip).
Download and extract header_fds.zip and you'll have No-intro_FDS.xml which is compatible with clrmamepro.
2. Generally speaking, Clrmamepro is antiquated and not designed for modern No-Intro sets. I recommend you switch to ROMVault (https://www.romvault.com/) and purchase a DATVault subscription instead. There's a bit of a learning curve but it's well worth the switch.
Hope that helps!

Re: Famicom Disk System headers
Excellent, thanks a lot. I was thinking about switching to ROMVault but I'm using Clrmamepro for 1G1R support which I don't think ROMVault does, does it? As it happens I'm in the process of updating all of my sets as they're a couple of years out of date so now would be the ideal time to switch.
EDIT: I should mention that I don't ONLY keep 1G1R. I use Clrmamepro to maintain the full set and then switch to generate a 1G1R set for putting on say NES/SNES Mini/Retroid etc.

Re: Famicom Disk System headers
FDS "ROM" headers might be the most unnecessary in all of emulation headers (unlike NES cartridge headers, which are very necessary).
All the FDS headers contain is "FDS" text and the number of disk sides, which is something that could already be inferred from the ROM file size.
It does sound pretty outdated of Clrmamepro to require them. Even very old emulators I don't think ever required them.
