At one point I was asked to upload a copy of the initial data area from my dumps to this repo:
https://gitlab.com/Madeline42/initial-area/
However, it looks like that repo hasn't been updated for a couple of years. Anyone know if there's another location I should use? or was it decided that it's no longer necessary to collect those files?

Re: Initial Data repo for switch dumps
The metadata is still actively collected, but it's more prudent to simply attach them (as ZIP archives) when you make a Switch submission to the forum. Alternatively, you can encode their hex values in Base64 using https://cryptii.com/pipes/base64-to-hex
There are more up-to-date collections of Initial Area metadata nowadays that don't require external hosting on a repo.
