No homebrew/aftermarket at all in "Commodore - Amiga" DAT?

Post by lordelan »

I was a little surprised to find that no recently released homebrew games for the Amiga are in the current DATs. Is there a reason for that or is it only due to the lack of volunteer maintainers?

I apologize if this has been discussed and decided in the past (new member here and didn't find anything on that matter).

However since I love to name my roms "correctly" according to No-Intro conventions, even if they are not yet recognized by the DATs, my second question would be how this would be named best:

https://logicalbyte.itch.io/connect

It's a pure gem btw for anyone who likes puzzle games like Sudoku.
My attempt of naming it according to homebrew games from other systems like the Super Nintendo would be:

Connect (World) (v1.3) (Aftermarket) (Homebrew)

I think Commodore Amiga dat is mostly, if not exclusively, coming from SPS and the project hasn't been updated in a while. It's a shame but, AFAIK, there's no other accurate dumping project for Commodore Amiga, Atari ST, or old PC games.

I see. That's a real shame as there are so many (untracked) treasures.

As for old PC games, eXoDOS and eXoWin3x should have most covered but obviously it stops with anything for W95 onwards.
