Hello guys
I have a great idea
how about no intro support hack roms, mods and fan translations because some roms are obscure and need to be preserved, TOSEC and GoodSets support rom hacks so why not no intro
i wish they were separated
Example: Hacks - Nintendo Entertainment System.dat

Re: Hack Roms Project
No-Intro aims to preserve the originals in best and verified state. That's why the whole Nintendo DS database once was nulled when ppl found out that one part of the cart address space was not dumped with the tools available at that time. There still are about 200 games not fixed and marked as bad dump because of that.
The original aim was to remove cracktros off scene releases and try to make games as original as possible and this is still the main idea here, just without any cracktros. We want proper dumps in that database that you can verify your own dumped ROMs. If the hacks are poperly done and tell you which proper dump you need to use you can easily have the intended outcome.
There was enough discussion already when ppl asked for homebrew games to be added, but if someone would suggest to add color mod XYZ for whatever official game... Lets just say this won't happen.

Wow, I didn't know that but if that's the reason why some nes bootlegs that are hacks of other games and are in the database?
example: Super Mario IV is an armadillo rom hack

I think ROM hacks may be too out of scope for No-Intro, but there is a WIP project here for ROM hacks that is inspired by No-Intro:
