Non-English capitalization rules

Post by Fake Shemp »

What are the rules and/or guidelines of how to handle capitalization in other languages than English?

Japanese seem to have a pretty good standard, but I don't understand for instance German, French and Swedish rules.

This one seem to only have first word and proper names capitalized (Swedish): http://datomatic.no-intro.org/index.php ... =76&n=0051

This one seem to have certain words like "avec" and "la" in lower case (French): https://datomatic.no-intro.org/index.ph ... =28&n=6274

This one capitalizes every word, even compound word "Wissenstrainer-Serie" (German): https://datomatic.no-intro.org/index.ph ... =28&n=5193

They are capitalized following the standard capitalization rules for titles in the respective languages.
