how do i know if im dumping a counterfeit cart or original?
because in ebay amazon and other online stores sold counterfeit carts specially rare carts,prototypes,unreleased ones,sealed ect

Nintendo cartridges use Triwing or reverse Torx screws. Normal screws = fake. They have a factory imprint on the front label (handheld before NDS) or backlabel (home consoles) - a 2-digit number and sometimes some additional letters or even two numbers. NDS games use a black code instead of the stamp on the back that should be the same on all original games except for the version number between N and J.
The PCB is foolproof - Nintendo is written somewhere, the board has an official code and the ROM chip ID also uses a certain structure.
In many cases it is a good idea to compare labels before buying. Most fakes use different art or have the code and Seal of Quality in the wrong place. Often the code is wrong as well.
SEGA and otheres - I don't know, sorry.

Nintendo only used normal screws for the "5-screw" NES carts, switched to the 3-screw kind in 1988.
