Back on the note of Excitebike dumps...
"Excitebike - Bunbun Mario Battle - Stadium 3 (Japan) (1998-01-11 - 1998-01-17) (BS)"
look at this header at 7FC0
4D 61 72 69 6F 20 45 78 63 69 74 65 20 42 69 6B 65 20 33 00 00 80...
Mario Excite Bike 3....
Compare with "Excitebike - Bunbun Mario Battle - Stadium 3 (Japan) (xxxx-02-08) (BS)":
45 58 CA DE B2 B8 20 BD C0 BC DE B1 D1 33 20 20 FF 00 00 00 00 80...
[Japanese stuff I can't copy]
Not only does it not match the naming scheme of the other dumps (including the other Excitebike Stadium 3 dump and the corrupted Premiere 1 ROM I managed to obtain), but the name actually breaks into areas intended for Filesize and Allocation values. This reeks of a hacked header. Furthermore, if it was hacked to this extent as it is, how can you verify that broadcast date? It could very well have just been a hack of the other ROM, depending on the chronology of the dumps, rendering that dating meaningless. Someone please give me some more info here.

Re: SNES/Satellaview split?
Kiddocabbusses, I decided to mark the Excitebike game you mentioned (with the mismatching header) as a bad dump. I've also made the decision to mark every game missing its header date as a bad dump. I hope this adds some encouragement for someone to find and redump the games, but I'm not optimistic on those games being found again, sadly.
I'll likely soon change the Soundlink games' boot limit back to being locked (as I've been told, for those who don't remember, that no Soundlink game has ever been dumped with anything but a locked boot byte). Unless, of course, evidence has been found since that the games began with 1 boot. If no such evidence has been found, then I want to err on the side of caution. Sorry for any irritation this might cause.
Addendum: I may go back and find the dumps with the earliest header dates possible for some of the games if I can (Goodtools is known for having header dates on most of the Satellaview ROM images). I better understand these details now. I'll see about it.
Sorry if my post was confusing for anyone; I'm in a hurry.

Re: SNES/Satellaview split?
Okay, I did what I said I would, consequentially flooding the recent updates list, but so it goes. Sorry for any irritation it might cause to anyone.
I've added to the tags of all SoundLink games, thus identifying them as SoundLink games. Please tell me if I missed any.
I'll be moving any dates that are in names to the "additional" section next, as well as adding any Satellaview games and redumps I still must add.
As always, please let me know if I made any errors, should you find any. I tend to move quickly and accurately when I work, if I do say so myself, but obviously I'm not perfect.

Are there patches available to get from one version of the rom to the other?C. V. Re: SNES/Satellaview split?
I'm sorry that I don't make patches (I might find time to do so later, though), but I can give instructions on how to fix the files yourself with a hex editor (I use HxD). In hex mode, navigate to byte FFD5. If it reads 84, then change it to 80. If it is neither, then you must navigate to 7FD5. If it reads 84, then change it to 80. It depends on whether the ROM is HiROM or LoROM. All of the files marked as "SoundLink" can be "fixed" in this manner.
I hope I was of help and not too disappointing.
