I see :sdrop:

However, could those functions be easily modified to work that way for the Rebuilder only? (and be switch activated to suit all tastes) Because that would be more than enough and respects current implementation of 7z/rar creation support: Scanner would allow to identify solid archives with problems. Then the user manually moves them and rebuild to fixed solid ones :?

I'm currently thinking of this:

- packer.ini won't be used anymore, you will a propertysheet for zip/rar/7z settings in settings->compressor
- for 7z/rar you can specify the exe, a cmd for add, one for delete

- and then maybe another 2 cmds for add/delete plus a checkbox enabling 'solid' mode. If checked, the listed cmds are used but it will always fully decompress/compress the archive when doing an add/remove operation. Maybe the checkbox will be a combobox to switch between the 2 modes/cmdlines.

Without the combobox/checkbox/solid mode it looks like this...

Time will tell....
