Checking good dumps

Post by Reperpiep »

Is there any site, or file available to download to check good ROM dumps by their checksum?

Some checksums of that site don't match the checksums of the games. For example, according to the site, the MD5 of Legend of Zelda, The (USA) for the NES is D9A1631D5C32D35594B9484862A26CBA, whereas no matter how many times and files I try, I always get this MD5: 337BD6F1A1163DF31BF2633665589AB0.
Sites like Romhacking.net use the checksum I get for the ROM information. So I don't know if the checksum of DAT-o-MATIC is the correct one or not.

No-Intro catalogs NES ROMs disregarding the header (you can see that by checking the Message Log window, or whatever it's called, from the menu in FCEUX).

You might be using a hashing tool that includes the header in the calculation.
