How do I fix Riviera?

I have the original game. I have tried backing it up with f2aw31.exe at both 128Mb and 256Mb sizes. The (J) release was 128Mb, but when I back it up at that size, the game loads up in vba with garbled graphics and will not run. When I back it up as 256Mb, it runs fine in vba. Can someone check out the 245Mb version and let me know if there is some special code or something in it? I imagine it is just an overdump, but I guess it is possible they changed something between the (J) and (U) releases.

Um, I assumed that since the rom zips down to significantly less than 128Mbit, that the game was an overdump. Can you briefly explain to me how you know the correct size is 256Mbit?

after 128 Mbit there's still data so it can't be an overdump - it's simple. The zipped size doesn't matter. You can rar the famicom minis to 400 kb or less.

Oh, thanks for explaining that.

I guess the English voice files took up more space than the Japanese ones. ;)
