Rif: 255 pokemon serials - a question \ xuom2 on 31th May 2005, 21:21 wrote:
[21:20:02] <Conn1e> eg 0907 - ruby version (U) is v1.0, 1242 - ruby version (E) is v1.1 and now 2006 - ruby version (E) is v1.2 but all have the same serial
[21:20:36] <Conn1e> I think they are therefore (UE)

The serial for #2006 on the cart is: AGB-AXVP-AUS, but internal it has a USA serial. So I think they all have the same serial, but different headers; BigFred should be able to answer this better than me XD

It's a special case with these dumps. The US-version is 1.0. Now the strange part: The UK-versions have british english (valid for UK and australia for instance) but instead of using an EUR-serial internally they are set to 1.1 (you can check the nfo-files - they were dumped from UK-carts) which means that the buggy (berry-issue) UK-versions are 1.1 and the fixed ones are 1.2 unlike all other language-versions.
Question remaining is if these 1.2 are also used in the USA to fix the problem or if they got even another version (1.3?).

I agree with with BigFred, v.1.0 comes from US-cart and v.1.1 and v.1.2 from EUR/AUS-cart. So until new discoveries are made, the naming should be:
Pokemon - Ruby Version (U)
Pokemon - Ruby Version (E) (v1.1)
Pokemon - Ruby Version (E) (v1.2)
The following ROMs are undumped , but should exist:
Pokemon - Sapphire Version (E) (v1.2)
Pokemon - Ruby Version (U) (v1.3?)
Pokemon - Sapphire Version (U) (v1.3?)
Pocket Monsters - Ruby (J) (v1.1)
Pocket Monsters - Sapphire (J) (v1.1)
