First thing you might notice, the checksums, ROM/SRAM size are different even tho they both are "v1.0". But there is something even more interesting in the NP version: Game Code: BOBJ
Not only it has an internal serial ID, but that serial is starting by a "B" which is pretty unusual. So I scanned the entire No-Intro set for games with such internal ID.

1. We can safely assume that games with (NP) tags and no "BxxJ" serial have a cartride version, or are hacks/fakes.
Example1: Breath of Fire II (J) (v1.1) (NP) // Game Code: AF2J likely mask rom
Example2: Super Bomberman 3 (J) (NP) // Game Code: AS6J likely fake
2. Maybe the NP tag should be based on the serial rather than which ROM is actually "NP specific" which is impossible to prove.

Dumps with unnecessary NP tag in SF 20070521 dat:
Super Bomberman 3 (J) (NP); maybe beta or hack
Umi no Nushi Tsuri (J) (v1.1) (NP); Mask ROM SHVC-A6UJ-1 exists
should be with NP tag:
Derby Stallion '98 (J)
Metal Slader Glory - Director's Cut (J)
SF Memory Menu Program (J) (v1.0)
; should be named "Multi Menu (J) (v1.0) (NP)" refer $060013-$060020 when game was flashed
SF Memory Menu Program (J) (v1.1) ; same as above
and also until Mask ROM is found:
Breath of Fire II - Shimei no Ko (J) (v1.1) (NP)
Dragon Slayer - Eiyuu Densetsu (J) (v1.1) (NP)
Fushigi no Dungeon 2 - Fuurai no Shiren (J) (v1.1) (NP)

Balloon Fight GB (J)
Batman Beyond - Return of the Joker (J)
Daikatana GB (J)
Karamuchou ha Oosawagi! - Okawari! (J)
Koguru Guruguru - Guruguru to Nakayoshi (J)
Naminori Yarou! (J)
Nintendo Power Menu Program (J)
; should be named "Multi Menu (J) (NP)" refer $01C013-$01C020 same as SF
Super Mario Bros. Deluxe (J)
Taisen Tsume Shougi (J)
BTW:
Heisei Shin Onigashima
has code with initial A.
There is retail release after NP first.
About BOBJ
Why not AOBJ?
Because AOBJ is already reserved for
Golf Daisuki! O.B. Club
was broadcasted for Satellaview
after retail release was canceled.
I think the code reserved once is not recycled.
Shift from A to B
is caused by safety against exhaustion of the proper two-digit code.
You can see also in DMG+CGB and AGB.
Both Fire Emblem - Thracia 776
have code with initial B.
And there is ROM string in internal name of BFRJ.
I think ROM means Mask ROM and maybe also R of BFRJ.
All the dumps with code of initial B are not necessarily designed for the NP.
In my opinion:
NP tag should be used only for
"the dumps without identification by Mask ROM".

They could use anything other than "OB".
The game was reprogrammed for NP: more ROM, more SRAM...
That's why it uses a BxxJ serial as any game programmed for the NP.
Ridiculous.Shift from A to B

Look at the BxxJ list, they're all NP.
Of course it is a hack because it has bo BxxJ serial.Super Bomberman 3 (J) (NP); maybe beta or hack

I don't say BOBJ is not for NP.
I only said it couldn't use AOBJ.
Sorry, I cannot comprehend for my poor literacy.Of course it is a hack because it has bo BxxJ serial.
Both dumps seem to have same code AS6J inside?
Sorry if you already dumped from SF Memory.
Sorry, I don't have any scanner or camera.Where is your proof?

I wanted to describe(not argue) my opinion about validity of current status.
But I seem not to be suitable for this forum because of no evidence.
I think somebody will surely confirm my info is fake or fact.
Good luck for a more accurate dat.

I have dumped Super Bomber Man 3 from a NP cartridge and it matches the regular cartridge version, confirming that the NP version of Super Bomberman 3 was a fake/hack (it is now tagged "beta" without any proof in the latest dat).
